This morning I made such a yummy smoothie. My kids told me they wanted to eat it everyday because it was so good.
Here’s the recipe:
- 1 C water
- 1 C plain organic yogurt
- 4 C mixed frozen fruit (pineapple, peaches, strawberries, mango, etc.)
- 1-2 T honey, depending on your preference for sweetness.
- 2 swiss chard leaves (1/2 C)
- 2-3 drops lemon essential oil
- 2-3 drops lime essential oil
Firstly, make sure you’re using good quality essential oils like these which are my absolute favorites for using in food. Blend everything in a blender until smooth and serve right away.
Let me know if you like it or better yet, how you make it your own.
Peace and health,
Melissa

I am vegan and I do not eat yogurt. What could I substitute
Melissa, that sounds sensational! The way we love our smoothies is with berries, soy milk, OJ, a little water, and chia seeds. If we’re feeling really healthy, a handful of added spinach is so filling and full of nutrients! If I have yogurt on hand, I add a spoonful or two, and have also done honey in the past. The essential oils would be such a delightful touch!
Wow Sarah, that sounds great! The chia seeds are a great idea. They are full of good things for your body! Thanks for the comment.
Hi Jana! Good question. You can use nut milk, soy yogurt or water. Or 1/2 C nuts and 1/2 C more water than the original 1 C the recipe calls for. Let me know how it tastes with these substitutions.
